Food for thought on Parallels

I just wish the level of parallel changed the color of the background diamonds on ls cards. Like how prestiged cards last year turned red. This year it’s just kinda a bleh refractor. I’d like to see the card decked in that tier 5 refractor
Your idea is great! I always thought about diamonds should be the color of the team too. Like As Chapman being Green diamonds, or Red Sox’s being Red diamond backgrounds.

Maybe it’s just me, but I would like to see a cap on the number you see on the Parallels Cards to like 1000 or 10,000. Like it’s ok if 10k players were the first to get the card paralleled at a certain stage, but it slightly bothers me to see a card be 101k/132k as an example. At that point just leave it at the colors. Hopefully someone agrees. Letting the Number be a reward for the grind is more meaningful in my opinion.
Haven't really thought about it until now, but yea, those numbers are meaningless. There are only two numbers that matter; parallel 5 and being the first to achieve it. Being the first is an achievement; everything after that isn't. The only thing that really should matter to someone is that they got parallel 5.

Excuse me but please don't tell me what should and should not matter to ME. Just because I'm not the first for something doesn't mean it's meaningless. If that's the way you look at it, fine. I do not look at it that way.
For instance I'm pretty proud that out of the 100k+ users playing MLB I'm the 157th person to hit P5 with Fernando Valenzuela.

Pass. It’s a boost to the cards.

The only number I care about is I, II, III, IV & V, not X out of X.

I'm curious why it bothers you so much
Idk why the bottom right numbers bother me after 10k lol. I really do like Parallels, way more than Prestige last year.
Prestige was horrendous; having to play with specific cards and targets that only no lifers (anyone unmarried under 25, pardon the envy) could reach
I'm just glad SDS listened from last year and gave offline players like myself something to grind for.
But they still give online way more mission XP chances than offline.

I never paid attention until now. I’m with you - I don’t wanna see trivial numbers on a beautiful card.

Why would anyone care where they ranked in levelling up a card? It's not like you get any extra bonuses or rewards for how quickly you do it.
-
they should incorporate the new overall on the card, not underneath it. if i reached gold with a player, make it a gold, not a silver with a 79 and an 81 underneath. would also like to see them somehow make quirks unlockable if u complete certain milestones with players. if i play 100 road/home games and i perform better on the road, i earn road warrior. certainly issues to be worked out, but could be a cool addition.....

I'm personally fine with that. They gave offliners like me a way to grind for the same thing online players can get. That's all I asked for last year. I already have 2 players at P5 42 Griffey & 1st inning boss Fernando. 42 Babe & Hank Aaron are close. It gives me something to do while grinding XP.
