I've played this game for quite a few years, and I've seen some odd occurrences. Today I played a few games and for the first time with perfect timing hit a foul ball. It happened on a fastball that went foul and perfect timing.

The other weird one was Soto swinging normal on a slider up with perfect timing resulting in a ground ball double play.

The other interesting thing i[censored]ting the pitcher in the behind and ball bounces all the way to third baseman. I don't know what these pitchers are hiding in their back pockets, but it must be something awfully hard.

For the DP one, this had to be during Showdown, aka DP central....
The pitcher thing is the new 'Badunkadunk Bounce,' pitcher exclusive play. 🤪
No one mentions the CPU unassisted double play overdose. Those that know, know 🤬

Offspeed up in the zone is possible to get out in front of and hit a grounder.have a few, also have a few on FB after switching from AS to VET.
There was a play in an rl game where a picher took one of his shoe and it went right to 2B where they got a double play. of course in rl the pitcher was pulled and is on IL now.it does happen that it caroms right to an infielder,it should be more wild and random.

How could I have been in front of when timing is perfect?

If you perfect perfect a pitch that is out of the strike zone either inside or outside. It will go foul. Were yours in the strike zone?

This years offering is basically trash on all fronts. Hitting has all the same problems these guys have every year. I firmly believe this is thier formula for this game.
Come out with poorly tested game that requires patches until halfway through the life of the game. Keep messing with pitching, hitting and fielding sliders to give the illusion of a game that is “dynamic” and skill based. Hire a few shills to brag(post) about how easy hitting is and too many home runs are being hit. Have a few beers and talk about doing it all over the next year. Best gig going you don’t even have to put out quality code.

It's literally the same game as last year. The Issues are solely due to cross play. They got their money

Don’t feel bad. I missed a perfect perfect for a strike out. Caveat: I am offline only and use directional with simulation style settings, and the hitter had low vision. Still pretty funny though

Yes, that pretty much happened to me. I hit two pitches, sliders up, with perfect timing and both were ground [censored] with last one being a double play.
