For the one hit missions.. Brad Miller lead off drop bunt down 3rd base line. You’re welcome

NO, moments are the worst.
Showdowns are moments. Moments that can be failed, which makes them worse somehow.
The actual showdowns are fun, it's all the mind numbing moments between them that make it so awful.

This game is awful. I just got 1 hit by Lee smith. Who Tf wants to play that? Lol.
When you play him, dont swing til there is two strikes on you and even then be careful what you swing at... he is extremely wild. i think my first 5 at bats I took 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. by then he was starting to get tired. once he is at 50 pitches his energy will be close to red and hitting him is a lot easier. by the time he is at 65 pitches his energy is completely drained and you can finish the challenge. i started down 9 to 15 and trust me... make him throw you at least 3 pitches per at bat ( he will throw more because more than half are balls)

I played this game last year and struggled with showdown and think it’s the worst part of the game and it’s back this year. I played the new showdown last night and struggled with it. I’m not great by any means but not horrible either. The task is get one hit in one inning. Ok. First up is klesko. Perfect swing time, line out to right. Next up is grandal. Good swing time, ground out to short. Next up is mattingly. Good swing time, pop up behind home. Failed. That is the way it went. Made it to smith with 4 runs. Ok need 12 to win. 20 outs later and I got 0 runs against him. I’m done. I would gladly buy stubs and do exchanges if I could not have to do showdowns. I know I’m gonna get hate for this post and really don’t care but F*** this game
Trust me they are frustrating man. But everything besides “Extreme” is beatable with patience. Just play something else for a few hours and come back
Hilariously I beat Showdown extreme last year on my first chance, but Moments Extreme were rage inducing, never did finish them.

True, but Showdown is moments. Like everything else in the game.

The first half of showdown in on rookie for crying out loud. The PCI is almost the size of the strike zone. Yeah sometimes you’ll run into some bad luck but 95% of the time, you should be able to get 1 hit in an inning
That's funny too. I did a TA SD one night and I lost ever single mini game, beat the first boss and lost the final because I started with no runs. Hahaha, everything I hit was right at someone, died at the track or they dove and caught every single liner to the OF. This game really just likes to screw you over sometimes.
Last night I had 10 hits to the OF and they dove and caught 9 of them. Ridiculous. All bronze fielders too.

I think it is because it is on rookie/veteran and people tend to get impatient. I am super impatient playing that mode. They also have three Byron Buxton's playing the outfield by the way.

Smith is a reliever, let him pitch to deep counts, drain his energy and then he’ll be batting practice

Showdown is what it is, patience will help for sure. My favorite part of showdown is the platinum, diamond, super, mega, gold glove CPU defense
Amen to that. It's always the diving catches that tick me off. It's like the outfielders are on slip & slides as they dive and slide to catch the ball just in time. Not once has the ball bounced in front or they missed. Sure I've hit bloop singles and stuff like that, but you know once the slide starts automatic out.

I've won 9 or 10 season 1 team affinity showdowns, so I know it can be done. I've figured out if I go in 12-8, 12-10 or 12-12 to the final boss I should be ok. Down 12-6 or lower forget it. Patients is important no matter which showdown you do. I even tell myself going in be patient wait for your pitch & of course swing at the first 2 pitches which are either 6-8 inches outside or below the strike zone .
