According to what we have been told. A pitcher loses skill level as you get to his 4th and 5th pitches.

Well, this seems to not effect the CPU, or if it does, its not nearly enough.

You face a pitcher like Alex Reyes of the Cardinals - who has all of 50ish appearances in a 5 year career -- his change up is his 5th pitch, yet he uses it with the frequency of a 1st pitch, and locates it like Greg Maddux.

This is something ive noticed for a while....especially with change ups. Guys with 4th or 5th pitch change ups, leading with it and throwing it 50% of the time.

Its an aspect of the game that may need a look. It doesnt feel like CPU pitchers tend towards their pitch usage the way they are supposed to....

Just an observation. I could be completely wrong, but its definitely something i was interested in learning more about.

    Thanks.

I’ve had an issue with this for a few years now. CPU pitchers will stay away from their primary stuff and throw their 4th and 5th best pitches repeatedly. It makes no sense. You can have a reliever come out of the pen and his first pitch will be his 4th best. When does that ever happen? And, for me at least, CPU pitchers will stay away from their fastballs, even if it is their top pitch.

No Control what-so-ever with pitches 4 and 5. Perfect laser Beam with the 4-Seam Fast Ball High and Inside.

I feel like whenever I play on rookie or veteran. I have to wait forever to get strikes. But going to to allstar and higher seems like I get more strikes and fastballs. Could be just me.
