Contact swingings ruining this game

Theres absolutely zero penalty for using contact swing over any other swing, The pci contact zone is like 30% bigger, the vision zone is bigger so people can foul 90% of pitchs off , Combine it with a max elevation created stadium and its literally 40 homerun games, Since the youtubers started making videos ive had about 3 strikeouts in 10 games.

Used Contact for first time yesterday in the bottom of the 9th in a RS game where I had 1st and 3rd and 1 out. Acuna up and of course he crushed a no doubt HR. Certainly didn’t seem like a “penalty” for using it so yeah, that needs to be fixed.
-
Yep, this is the first year where I’ve hit consistent HRs using contact swing. I usually switch to contact on two strikes in big spots but I used to very, very rarely hit homeruns using it. I agree, they need to change that. The foul balls need to be fixed too, it’s so dumb.
-
I haven’t experimented too much with contact swing so far but you could always hit homeruns with it. They were few and far between but still
-
For years I’ve used normal swing until I have 2 strikes then I switch to contact swing. And I have ALWAYS been able to hit homeruns with contact swing if I square up the ball, This is nothing new guys...I think because streamers just discovered this it’s getting overblown. It’s always been this way, Nothing to change.
Let me put it another way...Ichiro Suzuki was a contact hitter, Definitely never swung for the fences - Yet he still hit 117 homers in his career. It happens, Call off the nerf police, Sheesh!

I think people are looking at the issue the wrong way. I don’t think contact swing itself needs to be nerfed, but the ability to constantly mash balls way outside the strike zone is what does need to be nerfed. There should be a contact/power reduction for swinging at pitches outside the zone.

They need to just let people strike out. Back five years ago they didn’t have all this foul tip BS and people could strike out. Not sure why they put it in.
-
Home runs with contact swings are nothing new. Just as Ken Griffey jr from last year, the year before that or... well you get my point.

I complained about this so much during the tech test, I saw those huge pcis in HOF and Legend. It’s sad it wasn’t patched before launch
-
They addressed it on Friday, patch to follow.
-
Yes, my problem with that is not only the homeruns they hit, it’s the flukes and all the foul tips. It feels like checkswings are back. You got to strikeout people 3 or 4 times per AB

Never I use normal 100% of the time
-
I only use contact on 2 strikes. I use normal most of the time with power on some moments if I'm having trouble.

I think sometimes the way the game is playing out they want you to use different swing types. I try to change it up if I can’t find a hole anywhere.
-
@CodyWolfgang_MLBTS Agreed. I haven't played ranked yet so I haven't felt too much rage at other players just at myself.
-
How do you contact swinger. I thought x was regular swing and square was power. I didn't know there was another option

@go4stros25_PSN Circle on PlayStation, B on xbox.
