I Love Showdown! (But in these times only YouTubers can enjoy)

I believe Showdown is fun and challenging. It forces you to be patient and trains your eye to swing at favorable pitches. And just like real life MLB players, even if the swing is spot-on, sometimes it leads to an out.
My only gripe with Showdown is dropping stubs as an entry fee. So SDS wants us to drop stubs on Showdown AND Battle Royale? GTFOH! You can't have it both ways guys. Leave Battle Royale to the YouTubers who spend their checks to buy stubs and Showdown to those who want to enjoy and improve for fun.
Otherwise, really fun mode. I hope SDS can remove the entry fee especially since now most of us are JOBLESS and can't afford to re-up on stubs with real money. I have no problem grinding for stubs but eventually I will stop playing Showdown because it's too risky and not worth it just like Battle Royale.

I mean, it's not to "risky" at all. Beat the first mini-boss and you've already made a profit.
Screaming that a little stub entry is wrong because people are going jobless just sounds like you're trying to stretch it into a much bigger issue then it is. -
Never said it was wrong. Just said leave it to Battle Royale. Why do 2 modes need an entry fee?

If they took out the stub fee, they would also nerf the rewards hard. I'd prefer to be rewarded for going on a nice long run in Showdown

You do not make a profit on the first mini boss any more, and they already nerfed the rewards so they may as well just remove it or install checkpoints
I mean, on the 1st inning showdown, if you complete the 1st 3 ones before the first mini boss, you get 300 stubs. Then if you beat the mini-boss elimination, that's 250 more stubs. So 550 stubs and a silver player. That's compared to a 500 stub entry.
And even assuming you don't beat the first three, if you beat the miniboss, you have 3 more chances at the non elimination ones that give 250 stubs each.
-Edit, I just realized you are prob talking about the division showdowns, you are right on that account, I didn't realize they cost 1k stubs to enter-

I feel for you man! Hang in there. Hopefully when all of this goes back to normal you can find employment. And yes, you are correct- you paid for the game and shouldn’t have to pay for accessing a mode you enjoy. If the rewards were better it would justify the entry fee, but frankly, they are underwhelming at this point in the game. Just my opinion!

Showdown is BR for offline players, it has to have a fee. If you beat the first boss and the others you get 800 Stubbs and a silver player.... well over there the1000 you put in.

Not anymore. If you beat the first 3 TA showdowns 4, including the 'win or go home' mini boss, you only get 800 stubs.

Showdown is easy af imo

I can only assume you haven't done the NL East more than once or twice. Scherzer is a legitimate cheat code

Maybe there is a middle ground between paying stubs and free. For example, a Showdown that costs 1,000 stubs the first time to enter only cost 1/2 (500 stubs) the second time around and 250 the third time. This helps out repeat offenders who get bounced.
Or more simply pay the first time for each Showdown, but it is free after that. But if a Showdown is successfully completed, there are no rewards for subsequent attempts.
I would also like to see a Showdown option that works like BR where both the user and CPU draft squads and then play 3-inning games until one is eliminated after a set number of losses. You can choose the difficulty for the reward tier.
