Stupid check swing

Happened to Snoop Dogg and he raged. His Pci was right on and timing and then check swing down the middle to lose the game.
I wish I could quote him but it might exceed the expletive limit

I always just thought I somehow didn't hit the button fully like I normally do, but now I'm wondering if I really am getting screwed by the game mechanics with that.

I’ve lost so many chances to win some games cause by this glitch. I hope it’s fixed soon. I’ve got enough already with the umps making bad calls.

Kind of sensitive button isn’t it? No too realistic.

They changed it to be by user input only instead of dependent on the discipline attribute for the batter. Pretty stupid.

It stopped the people that would check swing non stop tho and I’m happy they did that. Have some discipline and you should be fine
Now onto the game not swinging sucks. I’ve watched Kevin do it a few times in his videos. I’ve done it a couple times but never in a bad spot to make me lose

personally they just need to get rid of check swing all together, since it has been called a strike 99.9% of the time (except for when computer does it)
You push the button, no matter how hard and it should swing the bat. As it is now it is very unrealistic and should be scrapped along with all SDS other bad decisions this year. -
my biggest problem with check swings this year is the animations sometimes dont match the feedback youre given. you can replay a swing and the batter will barely bring his bat forward but the feedback shows it crossing the plate completely and it gets called a strike.
Still better than last year when check swinging was legit cheese though

Last year it was awful. It’s helped me discipline wise a lot at the plate this year, since it’s always a strike. When I doubt I don’t swing

Some people seem to have misread the OP. His problem is he is trying to swing, but he is saying when he mashes the button to swing it checks his swing. I have had that happen a few times as well. But not enough to consider it a problem yet.

God it makes me want to break my controller how many times I’ve lost runs and opportunities to score and then losing games because I press to swing and it’s a check swing.
The meter on the left will even show the timing was in the good range and the game still registers a check swing.It makes absolutely no sense at all for this to keep happening multiple times a game. Especially in the battle royales. Why should I even bother if the game is going to continue to screw me over like this
I have had the same thing happen to me several times that caused me to strike out when it should have been a hit on a meat ball. It sucks.......

Hi Guys, I understand how frustrating this is. It has happened to me as well but.. try to remember when it happens, if you didn't do a very flash fast tiny press , released and then pressed the button again now decided to swing. I'm sure you will find that's exactly what happened. Also, I don't believe this to be entirely fair, because in real life you can decide to swing and cancel more than once.
the problem is the game logic needs to make a quick and simple decision about if you swinged or not, so they decided that if you release the button, its a full swing and you can swing again. There is a very very smal time frame in which you can check the swing. I believe the solution would be to expand this time frame, and sync it better with the batter swing motion.

Check swings make ZERO SENSE! This year u can hardly touch the button it can be almost full swing. Then next time u do it press almost to much and it's a checked swing. Then throw in the umps calls lol. That's even worse. . They need to fix alot to do with pitching and hitting. But they aren't doing anything!

Why did someone revive this thread with the opposite issue? This thread is about not being able to take a full swing when you hit swing, instead taking a check swing. Not about trying to check swing lol.

This was an issue a few years ago. It actually made me quit playing online. Two strikes, and it’s anyone’s guess if you’ll actually swing or not. So I don’t know know if this has continued every year, or if it’s popping back up this year after being fixed for a few years, but this is not a new issue
