My Ballplayer Issue

Hey guys, new player here so please excuse me if this has been covered many times already. My created player is a 2-way SP/SS. But for some reason, he only appears on my DD squad as a 2B. I cannot put him in the rotation, which means there is no way to earn progress towards earning a new archetype as a pitcher. Can anybody shed some light on this please? Thanks in advance.

You have to create a load out for him as a pitcher and activate it. Then you pull him from thevsquad and he will appear as a 65 RP or SP.
