Playing firstbase, player wont stand on first during some ground balls and bunts

Is anyone else having an issue with the road to the show player being a firstbaseman but occasionally not standing on first for some throws over to him when you try to position him there?

Haven't had this issue, but I have that problem as a 2b on steal attempts, my guy just won't cover the bag...if he gets there at all

Thats basically the exact same thing. It has got to be a bug because no buttons make you cover the bag so running to it is the only way to cover but the animation just wont happen sometimes for me. Its really becoming frustrating now.
