It's my first year playing MLB in 4-5 years. How many POTM cards will there be?
Are they all available in packs or ? When does this happen exactly? -
It will be a player program. You will have to do online missions, offline missions, exchanges, and collections (usually).
Along the way you'll unlock cards, packs, stubs, xp. The final reward is the POTM lightning card. They were fantastic last year, so do your tops now moments, keep the cards, and get hyped

I imagine there’s a few gold cards (3-4?), a few low diamonds (2-3?), one higher diamond and then of course the main player of the program
One of the best things they did last year was making the POTM program able to be completed for free
