What is the point of having perfect pitches when your opponent can throw dots very late every time especially with people with low control?

I've just assumed it isn't working. I haven't seen anything other than "Very Late"

That's what I think now, they need to fix this especially for ranked seasons. It drives me mad every time it says very late but I get dotted up every time
