Pulled him. Only selling for 43K. Should I keep and use in the event then sell once he’s out of packs???
Or will he just continue to go down!? For those that follow the market please help. I don’t usually follow trends since I don’t buy headliner packs. Got Orel out of a BIAH

I bought him, locked him in, will use him all year. He will be one of the best SP at the end of the game cycle. Last year his highest card was a 98, so I suspect this one paralleled will be his best card this year.

He’s amazing so far. Small sample size but threw 3 innings no hit in the event and I can get perfect release on throws 75% of the time.

There is literally almost no chance they don't give him a milestone card for the scoreless streak IMO

Maybe? Not much difference between a 96 and a 99. He already has five pitches, his velocity is already where it was last year. The only thing they could do is add to the other attributes. Seems like a wasted card, and as well as he locates, won't do much to improve him.

Had him, sold him while the price was high. This card is nowhere near last year's one.

You haven’t really gotten a answer but I don’t think anyone really knows. It’s a unique card. The good players really like him and will own him for 40,000k, they’d probably pay 60,000-70,000k but the other half of the community doesn’t see the value and are under selling him. He could go way up, but it would take some time and he will most likely drop a little before then. Try him out and see what you think, then decide. You won’t lose or gain all that much unless your willing to wait for people to realize how good he is once he cuts them up for a month

Yeah my gut says he’ll go up. His price now just seems so low for how accurate and effective he is. The Familia card went up to about 58K a few days after he was out of packs so I may use him and wait til he approaches a similar price. He’s an easy parallel in the event right now and I can buy back later and pick up his parallel progress where I left off.
I agree with the comments, not as OP as his 98 (obviously) but he’s a must for any competitive rotation.

What did you sell him for? I’m trying to gauge how his price has fluctuated since the tab on his marketplace card doesnt show much since he’s brand new.

My first game was a 7 inning perfect game with him (I mercied the dude).

I don't think they will factor in parallel boosts when deciding when to release new cards. Then there is no sense in releasing another trout which you know will happen at some point. You don't think they will release Sig Feller again? A 99 Banks?

Correct, I don't. They have so much more content available to them this year. If they choose, they can now release the Negro League guys, as that license has changed. They are clearly putting a huge emphasis on prospects again this year. If they release two versions of a pitcher, the second version always adds a pitch to make it more valuable than a small bump to k/9 or stamina. But who knows.
I'll be using this version all year, he's lights out (every year).

The Negro league license has changed, you are correct. That still doesn't mean SDS acquired their rights. They also seem to have more of an emphasis on specialty packs this year, so there is even more ways to release said content. Same with the BR programs, and the inning programs having more cards. Maybe Orel doesn't get another card, no one knows. But trout, Feller, Banks, and probably Goose Gossage absolutely will. I'm still sticking to the assumption that a player doesn't have his last card(and sometimes it's not even the case), until a signature, prime, awards, Milestones, or finest card is released for them. In many years the allstar Miguel Cabrera would have probably been it for him. But they used triple crown as an example when explaining milestone cards, so there is no way he isn't getting one

He won’t be as good this year without a slider.

42.4k was what I sold for. And I'm happy to get that.
The Mike Hampton card shits all over the Orel card.
-
I straight up bought him, he’s always one of the best pitchers and this card paralleled will be useable for months
His price will only go up as well with being a headliner. Not up to a crazy expensive number but his price should rise over time.
As mentioned, not having a slider on this card kinda stinks, but, he’s still very effective online if you know how to pitch
