I've seen a lot of complaints lately about showdown being too hard/aggravating. I'll agree that it is at times aggravating but this years showdown is really the easiest it's ever been. If you can't complete it this year I'd suggest hitting that practice mode for a bit

It's not that people can't complete it because they can't hit. It's because the games usually drop.

It's not that people can't complete it because they can't hit. It's because the games usually drop.
I've won almost 50 showdowns so far. Probably played a total of 65-70. I've had 5 disconnects/server errors with 3 of those costing me a win.
I think some people are exaggerating their losses (not disconnects) in these things.

I beat it after 3 tries, my gripe is that eeeeeeevery outfielder is Jim Edmonds with D and eeeeeevery starter is Maddux with their control, I've seen more dots and paint in Conquest from scrub 5th starters as well more than ever.

100% agree, same for me. Even when my showdown games have an error at the end it never counts as a loss. I’ll go back and it’ll say resume draft.

I either completely suck or cruise through with ease. I have a lot more success with certain players than others that's for sure.

Isame here. It WAS giving me the loss initially but that stopped days ago.

The main issues are the absurd plays made by the defense, constantly making leaping diving/catches and turning impossible DPs, and the RNG of the hitting engine.
It’s way to easy to get NOTHING for good/perfect contact and miss out on critical rewards/runs that can make the showdowns impossible or “BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!”
