XP, sliders and trades

I’ve adjusted the sliders, including trades, to all the middle spots and I’m gaining XP but there are some ridiculous trades happening (Red Sox traded Devers for nothing). Does anyone know, if change the slider for trades, will I not get XP?

Trades seem very hit or miss. I started a league as the pirates (I like a challenge) and I put out a bunch of players on the trade block just to see what I could get. Got offered tatis jr for 3 players, all were veterans and none had a higher overall than 72. Umm ok? Then the Yankees offered me judge for a minor league reliever who was a 59 overall.
Trade logic seems a bit off

SDS even boasted that they've improved this part drastically this year. lol

But if I change the slider do I still get XP this year?
