Those line out double plays
-
You know the ones I mean. You’re within a couple runs of winning the showdown but running low on outs, then you rip a perfect shot down the line only to have it snared by the first baseman.
Your runner is diving back to the bag but you know he is going to be doubled off regardless.
As frustrating as these plays are, I want it to at least LOOK like my runner is out if he is getting doubled off. I’m asking for the instant replay. Call New York.

The fact they don’t have replay in the game is a problem.

The line out to first base double play happens so much, especially in showdown lol. I would love to know how many times that happens yearly in real life out of curiosity.

I seem to remember it happening a lot last year. I had it happen in my Inning 1 showdown, twice.
It all happens so fast... my brain says "YES! Perfect line drive down the line.... NOOOOOOO".

Why lol? The review is a safeguard against human error. Going to replay on an electronic umpire just slows down the game for no reason

I actually feel like I haven't encountered this nearly as much as last year. Could just be lucky

I mentioned this right after launch. I had a streak of having it happen 3 games in a row, but I was seeing it about every 3rd game or so. It shouldnt happen more than 1 out of 100 games. Its a flaw in the game logic.....but considering the other issues with the game, its been sort of been pushed to the backburner as something SDS should focus on.
Every year we get a few plays that occur far too often. Last year it was the "running into the wall" outfield catch. SDS said they specifically addressed that issue. Lets hope we get to a point where they have time to look at this one.
