SDS please remove Directional Hitting from Competitive Online play please. It doesn't require Competitive skill to simply time your swings.

It's a trade off, though. Directional doesn't guarantee good contact even with perfect timing. With PCI, your contact is guaranteed if you are skilled enough. Plus, there are players that play this game for fun and aren't that good or competitive, but want to play online and enjoy the game.. Just my opinion

Its not a trade off when using all diamonds w 99 contact....

Then dont play online 🤷‍♂️ pci isnt guaranteed...theyve nerfed zone analog over the years.

The developers even said last year if you dont do anything w directional the ratings take over....so basically just timing only. This isnt rbi baseball.

If there is any kind of competitive advantage for directional hitting, why isn't everyone using that mode?

Oh, because it actually put people in a competitive DISADVANTAGE!

Sounds like you are just whining like a little crybaby about taking an L!

Also, how would you even know if someone was using directional??? Hint--YOU CAN'T!!!!

Directional hitting feels like real baseball, that’s how it is when your batting for real, timing, try to hit the ball where they aren’t, bat on ball ... When you use directional hitting sometimes they miss even with perfect timing, so it’s not some huge advantage, it just feels more like real baseball... I can’t stand trying to line some curser up with the ball, it feels like an arcade game doing that .... I say leave all options available for how someone prefers it ...

There is no skill in button mashing … especially when u face the dodgers/yankees and all ur opponent does is press square repeatedly

I'll take an extreme position on this one that puts things in a different perspective.

Disabled veteran that has served our country, has limited use of their hands, but can flick an analog stick while pushing a button. Let's prevent them from playing online cause you can't take a L.

    Sounds about right.

    Hey SDS please remove:

    • Strike zones 1, 2 and 3 as camera angels. No batter sees a baseball at crotch-level.
    • The PCI that take up half the strike zone.
    • the foul tip/poor contact circle that goes around the PCI that takes up the entire strike zone and areas outside the zone.

    ...
OP needs to take the L and move on. I literally moved from directional to zone because of its benefits. Not everyone has hours to practice PCI, and it does take practice.

If your opponent is using directional hitting, then throw heat high/inside.

It's a game, when u play games either u win or lose! Directional is more for players wanting to have fun and not focus so much with pci
