Is there a way to pick the pitches you want?

I like pitching but I'm getting frustrated with how you seem to get your pitches. Going to the bullpen to learn a new pitch is fine but, if I don't like the pitch how come I can't just swap it for a pitch I already know?

Call me crazy but if I already know how to throw a 4FSFB why do I need to wait for my coach to decide he wants to teach me it again? Why can't I equip the pitches I want in the slots I want. Or is there something I'm missing and you can do all these things in some obscure menu?
