Might as well try and revive one of the great threads in this forums history
Joe Carter is one of the greatest players ever, if you stopped playing baseball on your calculator you would know that.
I hate joe carter
For good reason, the G.O.A.T crushed phillies fans hearts

I'm fairly certain both of the main two players in that thread got banned for good since then so it won't be nearly as interesting lol
Well i mean we’re not going to take it to the point of threatening families, but we can still have a little fun with it.

I only need the diamond to complete the team, ive had the stubs to do so for over 4 days and i hesitate every time cause i dont want him. i do not have 1 ab with him in the last 4 years intentionally, and quick sold him to get out of inventory on the years we could.

How dare you quick sell the G.O.A.T!?, must be a sabermetrics nerd

Career .260 hitter with a .306 lifetime obp, bad defender, below average baserunner and spent a good portion of his career DHing.
It'd be like me arguing for David Justice

Paul Molitor said he almost tried to hit a home run with Rickey Henderson on base (and the way he was hitting in that series he probably could have done it) but he thought it was percentage baseball to move the runner. He hit the ball so hard on his single that Rickey couldn't go past second anyway, and with his speed that's notable. Actually there's a cool Rickey story there too where he told the dugout Mitch W would walk him and then he'd come around to score. Anyway, so Joe Carter got his chance to homer perhaps in part because Molitor decided to keep the line moving. Carter's AB with Wild Thing was so crazy because of how badly he hacked at the pitch just before the home run. I wish Molitor had hit the homer in many ways, he was my guy that year, but he got the MVP award anyway and Joe got to hit the home run. I did feel bad for the Phillies, they scored a lot of runs in that series and just couldn't quite keep the Jays down.

No. I was 18 in '93 and he killed the dream.

As a Braves fan, 93 vs the Phillies was one of our biggest choke jobs. I was 13, I still cant believe we lost that series.
