Linked account on The Show website; lost game progress

I know everyone is going to be shocked by this, but I hit "unlink my account" button in game on the PS4 and nothing happened. It just returned me to the previous screen.

Yep, thanks for trying. Doesn't it same something on the dashboard page here about unlinking in game? I'm not sure what they mean.

I'm going to go press unlink in my ps4 now. BRB.
Ok I pressed unlink in the game, and 2 choices popped up. One said I would lose everything if I unlink. The other choice, of course, was not to unlink. I pussed out and didn't press choice 1.

Did it give you a warning first that you would lose everything? Because I just got that warning and I'm not pressing.

Yep, I closed the game, opened it up again and everything is still there...with the unlink account button and everything.

No, it didn't do anything. It was button that didn't work. Nothing changed and I'm still linked.

No, it didn't do anything. It was button that didn't work. Nothing changed and I'm still linked.

I truly believe is a PS5 and XboxX version of the game issue. PS4 version on my PS4 and PS5 seems to be working just fine. To be honest, I can't see a difference either in PS5 vs PS4 version (graphics wise) and I could give a darn about the create a stadium feature which is only on PS5 and XboxX editions. I'd rather have the game functioning properly on PS5 and XboxX than be able to create a stadium.
I also feel really OLD, each release there are some bumps in the road and I ALWAYS say I'm not going to buy it at release, then my brain stops working and I pre-order. PS5 was a blast, game was working like a champ for me from Thursday-Monday, then the wheels fell off.
It's now 1 week later and I'm back to "old-next gen, PS4-pro". 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

i logged into this site by pressing the xbox button instead of the show. It still shows the xbox and ps as connected and says it not yet linked to a show account. I believe this is where the problem is. They have to get these unconnected to free them back up. Of course if I try to connect them in the site, it brings up the choices, both of which just error out.

I don't see a difference in gameplay either. Surely they can fix this so we are properly synced across all accounts (at the very least, PS4 and PS5 should mirror each other). I always ride the ups and downs of a launch and don't complain, but to be blatantly ignored and not given the courtesy of any sort of reply is such [censored] considering how many of us have been here for so many years.

I completely agree, the PS4 and PS5 should be synced up automatically. It's the same system, same controller, same psn account. There should be a simple way to do that for now and worry about the xbox stuff later.

You have any idea why everything shows up on my PS4 but when I look up my username on The Show marketplace website it reflects everything being gone? I guess that's what I'm trying to figure out. What is the PS4 linked to?

I only got it for Xbox this year lol. So I need an Xbox solution! Lol. I bought a series X specifically for the show. Well also because I want to play Halo this year too.
