Stolen bases issue in franchise?

Is it just me? I'm 4-for-15 in stolen bases so far in my franchise. I've played every MLB The Show since 2006 and I know how to steal bases, how to time it, etc. Yet this year, no matter what I try, even the fastest players with the best steal ratings get terrible jumps. I've even tried going into practice mode and just stealing with Buxton nonstop and I still get gunned down 75% of the time. What's the deal?

The CPU has ESP when it comes to picking me off or a pitch out. Going to see if its a slider fix for now when I have time later.

I tried messing with baserunner speed, CPU pickoffs, steal ability/frequency, and got no results. Let us know if you find something that works please!

I have it at the default which I'm assuming is 5. The stolen base issue has randomly gotten a bit better for me, maybe by luck? I've gone from ~30% to ~60% success rate, which is still way too low (normally ~80%) but better. Haven't really done anything differently either.
