    • Increase to hitting difficulty in Diamond Dynasty.

    = Harder to contact

= weak flyball in rookie becomes to swinging strike

    = Easier showdown

    Could be?

I hope it's just something like smaller timing windows or smaller pci, don't nerf good contact when it's made.

I'm more curious what the pitch speed one is. I wonder if they increased AS and HoF and left Veteran alone, hence increased range?

This happens every single year. The first week the game plays amazing. Then they start bringing in the patches and the game goes to [censored]. Hope you enjoyed the game for a week, rng lineout bs will ensue for the next 51 weeks enjoy!

Isn’t that better than wiffle ball pitches getting slammed for a home run every time? Don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying the game right now and I am not one of the constant complainers. I feel that this game is great, but patches are definite necessary. Hitting is overpowered and pitching is incredibly weak. I have a full diamond rotation, and the pitchers all have an ERA over 4.00, and some are significantly higher. Meanwhile, I two level 80 golds on my bench that each have a BA over .400 with 80+ plate appearances each.

Like I said, the game is great and I love it, but pitching needs to be tweaked and/or hitting needs to be nerfed. I’d believe pitching is the issue that needs to be fixed, and then the hitting would in turn balance out. But hey, what do I know. Either way, I’m glad to see a quick turnaround for a patch.

I tried the game online today I won 5 3 in three innings because the player quit. Last year, that would be the final score. Hitting was more realistic I think because not everything is a homerun. Let’s see what this patch does!

I wish they wouldn't touch the hitting. The appropriate way to "nerf" it would be making pitching more accurate. I'm scared about that first note.

Yeah, I agree, I mean the problem with hitting is not the hitting but the pitching.

They don't know how to do anything the right way. They think tinkering with something that is working is the way to do it instead of fixing what needs attention.....LIKE THE DEFENSE

The only thing in hitting that needs to be fixed is the "Early" timing window. I don't know how many HR's I have missed because the feedback said I was early and then I look at the instant replay and it looks like I should have hit the ball to center field! Here is one example:

I do agree though that the major fixes need to be with pitching and defense!

Early swings are way too over powered. An early swing on an outside pitch should be a rolled over grounder, not a pulled flyball homerun by Aaron Judge. That alone is a deal breaker for this game. Fix that, and increase pitch speeds, and it would be much better. Also, make locating pitches a lot easier. I think 50% of fixing hitting is fixing pitching and pitch speeds.

I think I'm being realistic in just asking for nerfed bad contact, just limiting the okays so they aren't going for hits as often, that shouldn't affect the best player's run totals, just make the skill gap wider

I can’t make a judgment on this until I get specifics or hear specific feedback of what actually changed. It could be great or terrible...to be determined

Given their track record with patches, I’d lean the latter. The game played great at launch last year too, then they patched hitting and it became the squared out fest we all remember.

They probably shrank the timing window of what determines late/good/perfect/early. I’ll check today when I play a few ranked games.

I played a rs game on allstar. It feels like timing windows are much smaller especially for perfect perfect resulting in some frustrating well placed pcis for good okay

Deja vu. Last year the game was fantastic on release, then a few days in they not only changed hitting, but they also nerfed how much XP you were receiving for activities within games. I went from wanting to play the game over and over all the time to not caring if I played it for weeks. I’m sorry guys but I prefer a more arcady game with 20+ hits against the CPU over 3-1 games with under 10 hits. I mostly play offline because of crappy connections with my internet. I wish they could just keep the patches with online separate from offline somehow. If they had just fixed pitch speeds with online games, that’s all that needed to happen. It would’ve been ok to just fix pitch speeds in general and leave the hitting sliders alone. We need some fun right now to offset some of the [censored] we are dealing with. 2-1 games are exciting in real life baseball, but they are not fun in a CPU game. I haven’t played this morning since the patch but we’ll see. We need this outlet for baseball as sports lovers that currently have no sports to watch. Hopefully they haven’t broken it like last year. The developers of this game are fantastic compared to other games, until they start tinkering with the sliders. Keep the game fun.
