More people are playing because of Xbox coming on board so there's twice the number of cards in surplus then there was in past installments of the game.

I'm sure he's talking about the pre-order 42 cards. There is no further supply to the market right now through packs or programs, so their price should go up with all the new users coming in today.
Maybe give it a day or so. I really want to sell all 8 that I have to get enough stubs for Trout. We'll see if that can happen. :T

The new users are new user. They aren’t loading up to buy cards, they’re loading to rip packs. I’d look for cheap diamonds to go down, not the pre orders to go up.

People who bought these cards at 16k are selling to buy live cards. Give it some time, they should rise. Just wait until people buy stubs over the weekend, or wait until people make some stubs. Unless they put that pack as a reward somewhere.

You have to figure they will be needed for a future big collection as well, like trout last year, and with +5 attributes they should stay relevant for a while. Honestly nothing in the live collection rewards really blows my skirt up, I'm personally in no rush to knock them out, last year mantle and some of the other rewards were game changing... Doesn't appear to be the case so much this year.

They’re needed for the 99 Jackie already. Also get you Doby and Minoso.
I believe they will go up eventually, stats on several of them are quite good, especially with the levelling. Live Series going down could pressure their value tho. Lack of further supply could make them go up. I expect Ripken maybe to be among the rarest of them.

They will go up, market always crashes for half a day ( longer depending on server issues) then it jumps and everyone complains prices are too high. Unless they add another way to get 42 cards soon, they will go up.
