Have they made MLB The Show great again?. Im playing on my xbox and I don’t want to jinx anything but the game feels great. Please SDS hold off on your famous week one patch!.

The game is playing fine. If they patch this I’m gonna be pissed off. Hitting and pitching has been solid for me.
They need to focus on the slew of other issues right now. -
I agree, gameplay wise it's great game. They need just work on these servers and I will be so happy

Yea game feels fine. The servers are a pile of dog doodoo. And some other bugs, but the game play itself isnt bad. I've only seen a couple weird things in the field (a couple diamond/gold fielders just run past a pop up and not lock on properly) and a passed ball to the back stop somehow allow a 50 speed runner get to second.

I'll take the game as is, just fix these sensitive servers

I feel like so far the game has taken a very nice step forward in terms of gameplay and have even made DD interesting again. The fielding feels smooth, way better than ‘20 same with the pitching and hitting. I think ive only hit two homeruns so far and i am not even mad i am actually ecstatic lol, they even fixed check swings. Its still early and SDS is notorious for breaking their own game but heres to hoping they just focus on technical issues and leave the gameplay alone.

fr. please for all that is holy don't touch the gameplay. hitting, pitching and fielding all feel amazing. just beef up the servers and this should be the best The Show game ever imo

Yep. Absolutely enjoying grinding, working the menus and even playing ranked. Once the hype dies down the servers should be better.

Server issues the first couple days is normal for SDS lol, if they weren’t having server issues I would be alarmed

The fielding hasn’t been super smooth, in my opinion, but not horrible. Hitting is fine and pitching seems better than last year. Worry about fixing things that are broken. Leave game play alone.

Compared to ‘20 fielding feels way better, I was very skeptical about this year but I am pleasantly surprised. To me it feels like they took all the nice things from the last 3-4 years and put them into ‘21. Fingers crossed they don’t touch gameplay.

Game usually plays well at launch.
I am CONVINCED the game is never broken - the game works like [censored] when every player is 92+ with attributes over 100 because that's not how the game is supposed to function.

Agree I think the 100+ stats mess with the RNG and really mess up the game

The game ultimately is computer code. As with any algorithm, "garbage in, garbage out. The input of garbage attributes which are used to calculate outcomes inevitably creates garbage outcomes.

Ranked seasons seems to play pretty good. The event was brutal just a whole lot of 20 all over again. RS seemed to be pretty rewarding.

Yea the tech issues are frustrating, I was hoping they would communicate that they are at least investigating the server issues.
