There is not enough XP rewarded across the board in this game

I looked at my XP over 4 days, if I average that over the next 17 days, I will get to the end of the First inning program with 5 days to spare. I did not play 24/7. I have played 6 RS games. Some Road to the show when network errors come up. I did HRD last night cause of network errors. I completed 4 or 5 CQ maps including NL West and 42 Jackie Robinson. I completed NL west showdown super easy this year. Finished up the starter showdown. Completed a ton of moments. You do have to have some time to play. Very doable.

Don't forget to consider the 2x xp weekend. I'm not sure how often this will be a thing (once a month? Every weekend?) but its a good time to play and will help.
The XP numbers look high but they are definitely doable. Davis Program which is very simple is something like 35k xp? (or maybe 50k? might be thinking of 1st inning collection). More content will be released for additional ways to get XP.

Heavily agree. Collections should give out xp too.
i couldn't believe collections didnt give out xp.
I can see why it wasn't as it would not be a fair balance. It would have caused more complaints because the hard-core would get all the xp in week one then complain that they don't collection xp for the next program where others do so easiest way to make everyone happy is not give anyone anything
Parenting 101
Except collections can only be completed one single time per team.
That's what I mean if you do it the one time it's only for that program so people would complain come the 3rd inning the aren't getting xp like they did when they did the collections

I just play and not worry about the XP. Reading this post yesterday, I looked at my XP last night after I was done playing. I play anywhere from 2-4 hours a night. Weekends are not always easy for me to play. Saturdays my son has his baseball game and spending time with friends or family. If I am home I will play a ton on the weekends. I did not touch the Davis program last night I might do some of that tonight.

As I mentioned previously, If their goal is to control the pace/rate at which people can earn rewards then capping the XP per day makes the most logical sense rather than nerfing the amount of XP you can gain aging various modes.
How would capping it solve anything? Some people may have 6 hours to play over the weekend but no time during the week. They'd basically be telling people "Screw you if you have less time to play during the week".
It would solve the problem of pacing the content if their goal is to make sure people cannot get these cards within 24 hours of them being available. If you only have 6 hours to play in week then you weren't getting a boss anyway.
You'd be surprised how much xp you can get when you're playing the right things. I've been playing since Friday and im a third of the way through the 1st Inning just from doing moments and conquests. They give you a month to do these programs for a reason. Everything is attainable.

I think moments is where I got most of my xp

350k in XP to get the 1st inning bosses seems too high. Exchanges this year only offer 300 xp. That can’t be right. How does 300 xp seem right when 350k is the number we have to hit.
I get some people can play this all day and don’t work. But most of us still have jobs. And we still play this a lot.
I’m not asking for anything free. I’m just saying, XP that’s given, doesn’t seem like even close to enough.
The servers are slow. It took me a long time last night just with having to sim parts of conquest. I’ve dropped so many games the last 24 hours. I’m not even trying to play online.
Also, most of us are still waiting on our stubs that were taken from canceled orders.
Most of the regulars know me on here and I wouldn’t bash SDS just to do it. I’m pretty loyal to them and I understand patience. But this weekend has been horrible to be honest.
I really hope they figure it out. But after you’re done fixing the stubs and server issues, please look into XP given. It doesn’t seem like enough at all.
They will add more player programs to this inning which will be able to collect for free and earn additional xp. I think the Eric Davis program was like 30k xp? It'll be attainable.

It would honestly eliminate 90% of the complaints about xp rate if SDS just stopped being stubborn and eliminated the time limit. I feel like most people who play DD have no problem with a long grind, but they hate the pressure of racing a clock. I know I'd be much less likely to get burned out and quit playing halfway through the year like I usually do if I were able to just relax and complete stuff at my own pace.
There's a fine line between a grind that makes people want to play as often as possible and making it feel like a second job, and I think the current way of doing things has nudged the game dangerously close to the wrong side of that line.
-
Agreed but I haven't played any BR, RS or events yet to see how much XP I get from it. I had to turn the game off last night because it was taking 2 minutes to sim one conquest game.
I'd also love to get my 13k stubs or so I lost on pre-order launch too. Not that it's a big deal, but it's the principle. I feel bad for folks that like hundreds of thousands of stubs!
-
I’ve played 25 hours and think I’m around 170k xp. I’ve done every conquest map, the player programs and moments. I did take 3 days off work and only ate slept and played this game. When does the next program start may 17th ?

If this is the route SDS is going to take to encourage spending, this might be my last year. I have neither the time nor the money to waste on pay to play. Last year was perfect (including stars rather than this unnecessary XP).
Please remedy this SDS for the loyal Show folks.
I agree. I've been an MLB The Show player since 15 but I'm a casual player. I like this game because I can still put together a decent team without having to play many hours grinding every day and without needing to spend a lot of money. At this point I'm glad that I canceled my preorder and waited for it to hit Game Pass on Xbox. If this is the future direction of this game, this will be my last year also.

I have realized that perhaps all "XP" awarded (even in failed missions and during online innings) might go to the XP rewards (as apposed to Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond progression in years past).
Can anyone confirm?

Did they Remove XP from RS rewards too?. .
That would help out... -
