I have the same issue since Day 1, already reported the bug but I still did not get any reply. Seems to be happening on Xbox One users specifically. Game can't be played which is frustrating when you're buying a game for early access and can't used it!!!

My issue is I can't get past the "press any button to enter screen". Pressing buttons does nothing. Demo game starts, I can press start to exit from that. Then it takes me to the main menu of the game and it's just frozen.
Ridiculous. Did anyone test this on Xbox before taking our money for early access?

You are also on Xbox one?Series X here. Issue seems resolved this morning. I did nothing yesterday. This is strange.

I have the same exact issue and I’m not sure what to do because I have contacted Xbox and sds services suck so they never respond. Have you been able to find anything? It was weird yesterday because I got the more expensive version and it worked for one moment then I turned off my Xbox and it’s stopped working

It is very weird because last night I was able to play for a bit but suddenly when I loaded into my next game the same thing happened and it couldn’t control my playing. So dumb I paid for 4 days early access and I can’t even play . This better woke at launch on Monday.

I’ve got to play for a bit upon release but again I to spent the 150$ and the game is unplayable. I’ve emailed support 3 times and just heard back from them now and was told to contact the vendor of which I purchased my game on early access information. Embarrassing it’s not an early access issue it’s a game issue, anything less then at least half my money back would be embarrassing at this point

No solutions here. It just seems to come and go. I haven't had an issue since my post here, right up until tonight. Same [censored] problem now. Can't press any button to enter. Can exit the demo game back to the main menu where everything is unresponsive again with the error it can't connect. There's a serious issue here with this game, and the fact that nobody has an answer for it is very discouraging. I've had about enough.

I think I figured it out, I had this same problem with a different game like 4 years ago! Unplug all of your USB ports. I always leave the Guitar Hero Live USB connector in the back USB port of my Day One Xbox One. For whatever reason, that caused issued once in the past, and as soon as i unplugged that and restated The show I didn't have this issue anymore.

I still having the same issues as you all too. Freezes, can’t control my batter, no xp points, can’t control batter in home run derby MY SCREEN FREEZES UP AND HAVE TO RESTART. CANT EVEN PLAY DIAMOND DYNASTY. WTH IS GOING ON!?

Thanks Nordy, your solution is fixing the issue I was experiencing. Just unpluged my Guitar Hero Live USB connector, restarted MLB The Show and now, all is working!!! Thank you very much!!

Not at home to try right now but I’ll have to try that. I believe I do have my usb wireless guitar hero plugged in, in one of my ports.

Hola muy buenas yo ya no se lo que puedo hacer pero no me deja jugar online me pone a buscar rival me pone rival encontrado y luego me da fallo y me pone no opponents found os pasa eso alguno más ya probé borrar el juego y volver a instalar pero no llevo camino solo me deja jugar contra la CPU hasta contra amigos me pasa eso
