Can't play cross platform game with friends?

Has anybody else had problems trying to play with cross-platform friends? We accept the invites and then nothing happens

Yes, I am having the same issue, I seem to be able to play on almost any game mode accept with my friend who is on PS5. I am on Series X. We were able to play the first couple of days, but now can't seem to connect, it puts us in the challenge lobby, but nothing. He was able to play with another freind earlier today, PS 5 vs PS4.. Did you eve find a solution?
