First 4 Days: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
-
The Good
-
PXP is proving to be the amazing fan-favorite system that SDS was going for. A great improvement to an already great prestige system.
-
Content is really good so far and cards are well balanced at launch. The only amazing cards are difficult to obtain, we aren't facing 99 Kluber in the first week.
-
This is the best gameplay has felt at launch in years. Hitting appears to make some sense and pitching is slightly better than before.
The Bad
-
Menus look like a dev test kit, hopefully we get used to it within the next couple of weeks.
-
The Inning Programs are a lot harder than previous years and the XP system seems to make less sense than inning stars
-
The XP reward path could also have stayed and it would have been nice had they found a way to balance the rewards.
The Ugly
Pretty simply just the glitches that have haunted us thus far. The game was so close to being amazing at launch had it been tested slightly more to fix marketplace issues (which still persist), missing content issues, server issues, and missing TA items. -

The loss of stubs and xp for a lot of people though is a major screw up and nothing really being said about it to anyone. They could and should have handled this much, much better. The gameplay has been very good though, it's a solid game to build on

The good news is that once they got on top of it, we're looking at one of the best sports video games in a long time

I don't think inning programs are going to be as hard to finish as people think. There is likely another player program, conquest, and then the first inning showdown still to come.

after i get the xp from the davis program ill have near 200k. not bad for first 4 days of a 3 week program.
-
Stadium Creator is a touch disappointing. Not as in depth as i would have wanted, no advertisers on the walls, can't move the bullpen, and honestly the parks themselves feel very limited in just how much you can add to them. Add to that the lifeless concourse and walkways. I hope next year addresses all this, maybe make a designated path that generates a simulation like aspect of people just moseying around.
In the end I'm going back to DPF. Still the best.
