SDS going the route of EA and 2K

The removal of a lot of rewards and increased grind for XP mean that they want you to BUY BUY BUY stubs...I was hoping SDS was better than this
Better than wanting their company to make money?...no one is forcing you to buy

Or just PLAY PLAY PLAY the game. Also I'm sure they don't want everyone having a ridiculous amount of stubs like last year to the point every new card got released they immediately had hundreds of million stub buy orders. There will also be more of each 'rare' card in circulation since you can get them from accumulative wins ad well as reaching certain tiers
What happens if you face someone with Soriano, Chipper and Ortiz? Even if you have all the 42 cards you are not gonna beat someone who has spent tons of money on the game.
You will if they can't hit.
I could play any of the top 50 in the game with a God squad while they had a silver team and they would win every time vs me. Why? Because those players can hit almost everything.
If you have a god squad currently a lot of those players come from collections. The collections are behind a paywall. If you are no money spent you are not completing the collections this early in the year. The XP Reward path provided a lot of no money spent players with a god squad. Now you have to finish collections to get one which will cost tons of money.
It’s early, there is a player program coming out tomorrow. You’re probably a couple days away from the first inning boss which will help level the playing field.
Tomorrow, the non-preorder crowd jumps in. Go after your wins in the event/rs to get the smoltz, miggy, and your choice of prince, sandberg, and Ryan.
You won’t have a god squad, but it will be serviceable. These rewards will help close the gap.

What would be the fastest way to complete collections? I'm going after Piazza and Prince for the 1st Inning and World Series rewards.

Credit card. Otherwise flipping, which I have really done this year.
Start with the easiest teams/divisions. For example, the NL/AL central are the easiest divisions, but will give you the lowest rewards. Still, a 93 Bob Feller will get a lot of people out.

I don't really know what to flip. I have seen some people doing gold uniforms, gold players, silver players and bronze players. What would be the best to flip currently?

Meant to say that I haven’t been flipping this year. People are generally reluctant to give out their strategies on this board, as well. Keep in mind with the addition or Xbox, there will be a lot more velocity in the market. I follow the financial markets for my job, and this generally means more liquidity. The better the liquidity generally means the lower the bid-ask spread.
Flipping is usually a volume game in general, but might require even more volume if the spread tightens.

You missed the point. You can compete vs God squads if the player with the God squad can't hit the ball and you can.

I think SDS are still far away from EA or 2K. Of course you can't now grind to be able to get collections done without money, but you can grind TA really fast and easy and that seems enough to have good competitive team if you are good player.
I also miss xp reward path from last year, but it's not end of the world. Rewards in inning programme will be better in next innings I think.
What I like so far:- Parrallel path is great addition
- Daily programm looks great
- Lot of conquest maps on day 1
- TA Showdown is easy (not like last year)
What I don't like:
- Missing rewards after each game is step back
- Daily missions are pointless right now. Getting that 200-400 xp is such a small amount
- No xp for collections is bad

Very true, I’m not a good player at all (well documented on this site). Played RS against a guy who had nearly every collection done (didn’t have Soriano or chipper, so I assume he was missing the Mets), but he had seemingly every other player.
I had a no hitter through 8.2 innings until the headliner Donaldson crushed a no-doubter to centerfield. Otherwise, I cruised to a 4-1 victory and struck the other guy out like 15 times. I thought about quitting before the game even began, but I figured the all-credit card team doesn’t mean they are a good player.
