Why was XP in games vs. the CPU nerfed?
-
I'm getting noticeably less XP per inning after the patch compared to what I was getting before the patch. Why did they change it? I was leveling up pretty good while grinding out affinity innings. Or did I just answer my own question?

Idk. I never look at it, sounds like something they’d do. But also xp is performance based and difficulty based I think.
The real question is why grind innings when you can do (win) 3 showdowns and get the affinity diamond.

Because showdown is a new way of stealing stubs and the sliders are manipulated to make it play on Legend even though it says Veteran and all the pitchers paint corners and live on the black exclusively. They NEVER, I repeat NEVER throw a hittable pitch and I'm so good at the game, I never miss when it is in fact a hittable pitch, so it's always someone else's fault but most definitely not mine.
/sarcasm. This is a summary of showdown related comments I've seen in recent days and I've had quite a few chuckles reading them. You're right dude, showdown is the way to go for sure.

I played on the same difficulty before and after patch. I get it being performance based but the performance difference isn't roughly 50% lower than every game pre patch. Also pitching is the dead giveaway. I could strike out the side of the CPU pre patch and get about 450-500 XP for the half inning and now if I do the exact same I'm getting 250-270 XP for the same half inning. Overall I was getting 8-9K XP consistently per game pre-patch and now I'm consistently getting 4-5K now.
Something was very clearly changed. I'm grinding out the innings on the exact same difficulty as I did before. Nothing on my end has changed, only the XP I'm getting.

They lowered pitching Xp back to roughly what it was last year. Hitting xp appears unchanged. I am not sure they really ever intended anyone to be able to get 500xp a half inning pitching.
-
I routinely get 1000+ XP every half inning I bat. Just had a 3000+ XP inning on All-star Conquest
-
It's noticeably less, I had a few innings of 2400 xp when hitting, now 1k is about the most I can get.

So it sounds like it’s where it should be at. You shouldn’t make 9k XP per game against the computer. That’s a ridiculous amount
