Welcome to the 3rd in a Series explaining things to our new friends from Microsoft Land.

Today's topic is about Release Times. NOT from pitcher's hand to catcher's mitt, but when SDS typically releases new content.

    Launch Night: Midnight EDT.

If you ordered one of the Jackie versions, you can expect to start playing...

    Eastern Time: Midnight Friday morning
    Central: 11PM Thursday night
    Mountain: 10pm
    Pacific: 9pm
    etc.

If you ordered a Tatis version:
Physical copy: whenever you get it. DD and all other modes will be live due to early access.
Digital copy: Midnight Tuesday morning (E)
    11pm Monday Night (C)
    etc.

Content Drops: Typically Noon PT (3pm ET)
Content Drops last year were mostly on Tuesdays and Fridays. They typically give 24 hours notice via Twitter.

Daily Login Rewards: 8pm EDT/7 CDT
At 8ET/7CT, they will reset the Daily counter. If you login after that time, you'll receive a new daily award (you'll receive 2 rewards if you have the Jackie version.) You actually have to logout and login to get this. You can't just keep your game active.
WARNING: Whenever we set our clocks back in late Fall, the reset time will move to 7pm EST/6pm CST.

"Push the Button": End of a Stream
Once or twice a year, they'll have a special "push the button" stream where the content they introduce during a stream/premiere will go live within 5-10 minutes of the stream ending.

I think this a great refresher for everyone as well.

I can't wait for that first push the button stream they are so hype.

Now correct me if I am wrong but towards the 2nd half of the content year was mostly push the button streams just based on when they would stream?

Are you sure about the Daily Logins? I logged on last night at 7pm and it stated my timer ended in 6 hrs

What the timer says is irrelevant. Until Daylight Savings ends, it'll be 8E/7C.

Thanks for this. I've been playing dd for years and never knew the time it rolled over, lol. I thought it had to do with the time you logged in before. I'm glad you're doing these, even for the vets who know little lile me

Do you have to do anything for the daily login rewards? Or just simply “log in”?

I’m coming from MUT (Madden Ultimate Team) and they give daily rewards, but you had to achieve certain things like (win two games, buy a pack, etc) in order to claim your reward.

And what do the daily login rewards usually consist of?

    1. Fire up your PS/XB.
    2. Select 'MLB21' from the game menu
    3. After the pre-game credits and the intro video, you'll eventually get the MLB21 Title screen where it asks you to push X and/or any button.
    4. Immediately after that screen, you will see a screen that notifies you of your daily awards and how many days you have left until you've earned a free pack. Here's mine from today in MLB20 (I bought a Deluxe Edition so I qualify for Double Dailies.)

Got ya! I have the $99 Jackie Robinson edition for this year - think that gets double dailies. Good stuff. Thanks for all the info man.

Now, within Diamond Dynasty, there are Daily Missions, where you earn points towards Program Rewards (they're similar to the MUT missions you're speaking of [15 innings with Marlins, 3 XBH in online play, Exchange 2 bats, etc]). Again, those reset at the same time as the dailies.

Good to know. I’ll have to check those out at midnight tomorrow. My biggest concern is figuring out the menus, where everything is located, and the priority of what to do first over the weekend.

For you, IMO, the first things you should look at are Team Affinity programs, and conquest. Both are offline grinds, and both are a great way to get into playing the game without the stress of online.
