Team by Team
Division by Division
League by LeagueHave you ever tried doing
All silver and below for every team
All golds
All diamonds
I roughly did it the way you did last year but it took me a good whileNo its easier by team because it contributes towards the next team in terms of stubs and xp.

So, you wait until you have every single player for a team. Then you lock them in?

Cheapest teams to most expensive unless I pull a card that jumps the team down to cheaper than the team in working on next(I use the show zone for this, it has a chart of cheapest to most expensive teams. Ex. Say I'm working on a team that has one diamond like the Red Sox(assuming sale is still diamond), and I pull Harper or Realmuto, if the remaining phillies diamond is cheaper then sale, I'll do the Phillies first. Hope that makes sense. It's a little unconventional but I've completed the LS by may the last two years

While you were attempting this; did you lock in a team once you got all their players so you couldn't have to worry about late additions and to obtain a little XP tight away or did you wait until you had every team completed and locked them in for a HUGE XP and Stubs windfall at once?
i submitted team by team

I lock in as I go. You get rewards for 10, 20, 30, and lastly, 40.

One. Team. At. A. Time

Choose the division first example NL WEST LA,COL,AZ,SD,SF Then you do the teams in the central and finished with the EAST. If you want to finish collection fast. Sell everything off by placing on the market do not quick sell any items. Only lock in the players in the Division you are working on. I work the market use those stubs to buy cards to finish collections. Once all the teams in the NL are done start on the AL.

What if I want to work towards two TA 42 cards and their in different divisions and different conferences?
-
We're talking 2 different things here: Collecting Live Series and TA. They may not mention the LS Collection rewards (sometimes they do, sometimes they don't), but they'll definitely go into detail about TA and how to acquire the cards they've been previewing for the past couple of weeks.

Correct. I assume they may bring back the same path they did last year (Stats, Moments, Showdown, Exchange, MTO, and LS Collection).
If I don't invest time into two MTO runs (Red Sox and Pirates) I'll atleast need to do the LS Collection for those two teams to get the points.
But then after that is where I'm stuck.
Guess I'll know more once I see the rewards.

So when you say one team at at time; do you sell every other card that isnโt that team in order to have stubs to complete the team you are on?

He is my thinking: On my main account, which I started around Nov, I had the LS Collection done within a month.
All the cards were near Quick Sell price so I just put in orders and waited.
Once I got EVERY SINGLE card for ALL 30 teams; I locked them in.
Naturally, it I want to do that for 21; I'll be waiting awhile.
I'm just wondering if its better to lock in a team once you have all the players and go team by team.
Ex: I want the Pirates and Red Sox TA1;payers so those are the team's I'm shooting for out of the gate.
I'll probably sell off any Golds/Diamonds (except big ones) that I get out of my pre-order packs to funds those two teams.
But after that?
I'll probably go based on what the collection reward is for thatbt am based on the amount of stubs it will cost.
If you are looking to try to avoid a big diamond moving or something like that it's really a team by team decision. I typically lock them in as I go. There is usually a small xp and stub reward at 10 players, 20, 30 & then the full squad. I start at the commons and work my way up. Keep in mind I don't really worry about what might be the "best" way or the "most efficient" way. I typically start with the Braves (fave team) and then just go based off of what diamonds I pull or if there is a certain team or division reward I want then I will work towards that.
I say just do it how it feels comfortable for you. If Pedro is the reward for Boston and you want to buy now and pay full price for all of the cards to get him then do it. Who cares what someone else thinks. Just play the game the way you have the most fun and enjoyment out of it. That is what video games are designed for.

Some people do that, If they keep any other cards it would be teams in the same division.

It's up to you. I keep all my non-dupes (even if I don't immediately lock them all in), because it's just more transactions, even if it would net me a couple hundred stubs here and there.
Not worth that extra hassle. YMMV.
-
Yes lock in ASAP. As the game goes on new LS cards are added and they are no where to be found. There were three cards last year that were MIA and they were common or bronze cards. Had bid orders for days. I wonโt say the names I promise guys

No i mean focus on one team at a time. make sure you sell your dupes and id say go after the cheaper teams first, like the O's, Tigers and Pirates. then fill in after... the last team i got done last year was the red sox. never even used their live series reward.
-
Guys that rush to get LS done quickly, end up being bored with the reward cards, and sit them on the bench, or completely off their rosters within a few months.
I much prefer to play the game without spending money, earn all the free stubs and packs the game gives you, then chip away at the collection.
There is so much content available, you won't be hurting for other options. When you take into account the millions of stubs you'll be locking in for cards you may or may not enjoy using, it's not the smartest idea to lock in LS in my opinion.
I haven't faced a LS card in months, yet everyone has them locked in and they are now unsellable. No thanks

Not much anymore, once people (including me), got him prestiged, we moved on to other cards. Once Finest Dropped, we focused on them. That's the cool part of this game, it's ALWAYS adding new content and challenges.
I completed the LS collection this year, I got 99 Trout. I know that without the LS collection cards, 99 Trout would have been much more difficult.
I also pulled Trout 7 times, and got him twice out of the 90+ diamond choice packs. I don't expect to pull him again in the next decade, so I don't anticipate I'll complete the LS collections again this year.
