I still think people are extremely under estimating Xbox users. They’ve picked the superior gaming console for years. They are gamers. They are coming equipped with gaming monitors, sweat rags, and aftermarket controllers that can adjust the sensitivity and dead zone of their PCI.
Xbox users that never played this game on another console are going to get absolutely obliterated by anyone that can consistently get to championship series in the game for a good few months.
No one is just picking up the show and mastering it.
I’ve watched PS users pick up the game earn multiple 12-0 rewards then go back to madden before the new one even comes out. If you are ready to learn how it works, this game is quite easy to pick up, it’s literally one button + the left stick and knowing what attributes to look for in a player.
You’re also assuming every good player or even TOP 50 player that plays this game can’t possibly own a Xbox, you could easily see guys that have been top 50 players with a Xbox logo next to there name this year just because it was easier to get one.
I’ve always owned both consoles — I wasn’t sure why you said “Xbox has always been the superior console” that’s obviously not true. The current gen it’s slightly superior spec wise but the previous gens it has always lagged behind by a lot Actually — and I’m no console fanboy.
The Xbox elite controller is almost more advanced than a PS4 pro console itself. Like I said analog sense isn’t even new for them, PS still doesn’t have it. They can adjust deadzones as well. They have multiple aftermarket controllers that can even do other things, PS5 has none. Every 144hz monitor is compatible with the Xbox, the PS5 has some. It’s not just specs on the console, it’s the entirety of it.
I’m honestly still under the impression they kept this game at 4K 60 frames so most Xbox users don’t have an advantage over most PS users on a game owned by Sony. That would be a bad look, but if it played at 120 frames, it would be cheaper and more readily available for Microsoft gang.
Also I misread what you said about never playing on a PS, but i do think a lot of users on Xbox will have played this game before. It is free, so there will be thousands that never play after a week.

You joke but NBA 2k had horrible game destroying cheats this year in certain parts of it. There are now attachments that go on controllers and can perfectly perform whatever button sequences or analog movements you want with one click. Example perfectly perform jump shots and never ever miss. That’s how easy a Devs hard work can be ruined.

That green light garbage they introduced a few years ago ruined the game in my opinion. I wasn’t really joking about the auto aim either, I’m sure it’s coming soon.

I use directional and believe me it doesn’t work like that. I like it because I feel it’s the best way to represent the player. If a zone user gets auto aim he will be killing it. I see it coming soon now more players in the fold with Xbox.

I don’t think you realize just how much like a FPS hitting in this game is. Anyone who is great at those games could probably be a WS player in the first season if they new anything at all about baseball going in.
