PS5 upgrade voucher question

So i have two copies ordered, a ps5 standard and a playstation jackie robinson edition for early access. I plan on giving my friend the ps4 version disc but was wondering if he upgrades to a ps5 later will he still be able to use the upgrade later or does me using it for early access on my account use up the upgrade voucher? I will be using my ps5 standard edition disc once it comes out on the 20th.

If you use the upgrade code on your account it then cannot be used by somebody else.
