I am not sure if I missed a stream or tweet or something, but what exactly is the 42 Series? AKA what is the theme of who will be receiving a card?

It seems like these cards will be a Face-of-the-Franchise type player like last year's first level of team affinity. However, it seems like, in honor of Jackie Robinson, the collection will be consist of people-of-color.
There are going to be 42 total cards. One of the pre-order bonuses for certain editions is a diamond choice pack where you get to pick a 42 Series legend and there are at least 10 of these legends to choose from. So there will be 30 Team Affinity 42 Series players and 10 42 Legends. They have yet to say where the last 2 cards come from.

This makes me think that Negro League players may not be in the game this year. With everything going on with Jackie Robinson and the Negro League stats being acknowledged. I think this may be their way of honoring that without being able to add some of those players yet.
