Definitely not completely. I could see there being way less emphasis on it though. I don't think there'll be more than a few programs where you NEED it to completely finish out and get all rewards (like 1st inning & extreme were this year)

I haven’t gotten the impression really that they are trying to make things overall easier for new players. The impression I got is they are saying “here’s a guide on how to play this game through different modes and practice...when you are done there you can play here in competitive”
I feel like they are trying to still have a competitive side to the game — hopefully

I paid 100 bucks to play baseball game let me play it. Use my stubs for the rediculously high priced cards on the garbage market that has no CAP on prices.

True, but the availability of affinity showdowns made all other methods to complete affinity pointless (MTO I’m looking at you) unless you wanted to spend stubs for exchanges. I did 58 showdowns in stage 2 and the rewards for that were utterly stupid for the amount of time it took. Simply put, affinity showdowns were way too good per hour of gameplay when compared to other methods for affinity.

Yeah it felt like a fast track. Hopefully they balance it to coincide or coexist with other modes.

I think showdowns become another options for a 1 time season reward. Last year was the 1st year of showdown so they really highlighted it and involved it as a focal point of every program and Affinity. This year it will fall in line with other aspects like Conquest. I do think we see more Stat based mission come back that give smaller rewards but faster. MTO and Showdown will give the highest payout for rewards but take the longest
