Retouching in something I said a week ago

Ever since I got a ps5 I have been playing absolutely terrible. I did the recommended settings and I can’t even beat people on all star in the 500’s. Also been really unlucky in most of these games too. I have never been this awful at this game before, someone please help a brotha out.
-
Yep and I lost to one of the worst players ive ever played against. There has to be something in I’m not adjusting to.
-
Play with controller plugged in, not wireless.

Could just be a slump that you're going through. In that 500 region (or anything below 700 really) you can lose against literally anyone.

I’ve never sucked this bad, I used an all Future star team. Struck out the guy 18 times and only scraped 2 runs. Idk I’ll try the controller thing, but you might be right I just never stunk this bad losing to someone I usually dust easily. And that’s happened twice in the same week. I should take a few days off the game.

This. There were random spurts where my input lag was absolutely atrocious, I legit thought it was a new operator ability in Siege lol. Switching to USB fixed that immediately.

Do you leave controller on bluetooth or change to USB setting? Thanks

USB. It switches automatically when you disconnect and reconnect, so you don't have to go back n forth.

Did you buy a longer cable for this? I like that I can sit back my couch while playing, but the charging cable that came with the PS5 means I would have to be sitting pretty darn close to the console (closer than I would like).

I got the ps5 a few months ago and agree the settings make a difference and honestly didn’t know and haven’t tried playing exclusively with the controller plugged in. Ultimately even with all of the settings optimized for performance I still feel like it is a bit off as far as timing, lag, etc. When I first got it it was terrible. Then I adjusted the settings for performance and it got a lot better but I ended up hooking up my PS4 again to play. I’m sure 21 on the ps5 will play great. I’m assuming it is just something with a PS4 game on a ps5 where it is a bit off.

Exactly the same experience for me.

Do you play on a tv or a monitor? Just wondering.
I haven’t had this issue on ps5, I played about 250 ranked games on the ps4 and I think I just hit 300 games played. -
There are solutions for me that I dealt with.
- Change saved data in "settings" on ps5 to performance mode.
- In the show video options set graphics as "faster" instead of sharper.
- The ps5 controller is bigger than the ps4, so it is harder to get to each side of the plate with the pci, I now have to hold the controller differently.
-
The PS5 controller is the problem imo. Go look at some videos of content creator's when the PS5 dropped. They all make reference to the controllerin one way or another. Kinda silly PlayStation refuses to let their users use PS4 controllers. Same song and dance from them..Its not a great design. I hope you get things figured out. Sucks you're having issues.

change ur resolution setting on mlb to faster. Change your resolution on the ps5 from automatic to 1080p and switch ur ps5 to performance mode.
