Dude.... I don't think that's completely true.. If you don't think every single game including MLB 21 won't run better on a ps5 or series X, you're just flat out wrong.. And I don't understand why people get so upset that someone is willing to pay an extra 100 dollars or so for something they want and is in high demand and hard to find. You just sorta sound silly acting like that. Most of us are adults.. 700 dollars shouldn't make or break you. I totally understand if you can't afford it but don't try to shame people bc they have set themselves up to be able to.

It will not “do best” on PS4 you are telling yourself that. The game is built for ps5

Hes 100% wrong. The game will absolutely play better on ps5. I played both and they were both PS4 versions — the ps4 version played better on the ps5 — the actual game being released is a ps5 version...which will be even better

Ask anyone playing the game on PS5 right now how terrible it is (see OP). It will be the same experience.
I own both, I got my PS5 at retail for my step-son, the tech test ran far better on the PS4. It's not a big deal my dude, in a couple years when the PS5 pro drops, there will be games

Game plays perfectly fine on ps5. I have had zero issues. Faster loading is nice, no lag whatsoever on mlb stadiums. Things look just a little bit sharper, not much but some. If you put it on performance settings game plays extremely well.

Since switching to PS5, it feels like my timing is all off. I am late on any four-seam or two-seam fastball or sinker and early on everything else. The game looks great. Not a huge change but it’s just sharper overall.
I put the Show settings on “faster” and the PS5 setting on “performance.” Still feels the same to me. Late on heat (and no chance at 100-plus) and early on off-speed.
Maybe it’s me and I’ve been tired or not concentrating enough. But that’s the way it’s been for me.

I broke down and bought one for $700 on Ebay. But honestly, zero regrets. My PS4 was used daily for 6+ years and lately it has been showing signs of its age. What did I do with my PS4? I sent it off to a big farm upstate where it had room to run and play (“Look over there, Lennie... can you see the rabbits?”). The better graphics (The Show looks great — even my baseball-ignoring wife said “holy s—t”), much faster load times, hard drive that isn’t full, and controller that doesn’t run out of juice in an hour are all bonuses. The games will come, but if you are a daily gamer it’s already worth the outlay.

I own both I played both. The tech test ran about 1000s times better on the ps5 — so I don’t believe you had this experience. The ps5 was so much better as far as smoothness it wasn’t even remotely comparable.
You do understand that mlb playing at 60 FPS on the ps5 is leaps and bounds above anything PS4 can fathom right? Even the pro caps out at about 34-35 frames - and that is not reaching 60 frames that is consistently hitting 60 FPS with no issue at all.
That is the single biggest issue with mlb the show. The new hardware is a major fix.

Could be your tv's too ya kno. I'm rocking a Samsung tu 7000 and haven't had any timing issues. Haven't tried ranked yet

I just tried performance and fast and seems to be a downgrade In my OPINION. I don't have timing issues in sharp and default on the 5. Also I can tell balls and strikes waaaay better in sharp. I'm thinking the tv has a lot to do with it. It's not a monitor but it's pretty darn quick
