Advanced stat : pop

What’s the definition of “pop" and should I take into consideration that stat when picking up players in my lineup ?

Not sure what the op is asking, but pop as I know it, is a catcher stat that measure the amount of time a catcher takes to receive a pitch and then take that pitch and transition to throwing to a base to cut down a runner. 1.8 seconds is considered elite, 2.1 is Mlb average. Currently there are only 2 active catchers who are capable of achieving pop times lower than 1.8 seconds. Realmuto and Molina.

In talking about hitter pop on offense not catcher pop on defense.

Oh ok

Productive out percentage
Edit: not important at all in this game. It usually matters for guys who bat 3rd or cleanup (RBI opportunities, avoid DP) and for guys who bat low in the order and aren't known for their offense. Billy Hamilton would be a great example of someone of whom his defense and POP made him have a respectable career.
