Who remembers this. This post is to talk about when The show gameplay was great. Feel free to share you memories.

If you were good you had to play about 4 games of people quitting pre 4th inning before you found those other rare good players. Why? Hitting a baseball is hard and your opponent knew there was no hand holding when your opponent is painting corners.

I remember when you could spam your opponents weakness. He cant catch up to fastball so he presses x every pitch release ?? Throw curveballs in the dirt until he LEARNS TO FIND A HITTING APPROACH.
Then he quits because he realizes he's not here to play baseball...he's here for his daily dopamine rush to hit homeruns...the only exciting play he knows in baseball.

[censored], it does bring back some memories. And those last two paragraphs are sooooo true.

Meh, the devs clearly decided their bread wasn't sufficiently buttered having 3 out of 4 games be blowouts and adjusted accordingly, good on them.

So true-now it’s flip a coin-wait for which predetermined sequence/RNG disaster you will be granted today

Nah not good on them. It’s called a learning curve. It’s a good life lesson. But considering the political propaganda they’ve posted on their page — I’m not very surprised that they have a post modernist approach to their video game of equity of outcome rather then equity of opportunity.

Equity of outcome rather than equity of opportunity. I think that is a fair way to put it.

To the OP I am not sure why you included making content decent again. There has been tons of content this year. Could you expound on what you don't like content wise?

All games are going to this, COD as well. The sad thing is that’s the new norm and it’s spreading into civil life as well. No more earning it or working hard to get there. Trophies for everyone

Aint that the truth. It’s sad. It’s the French intellectual approach that has failed 100% of the time it’s been tried in society and in life. It’s a failed system. I don’t understand why people continue to harp on it. It doesn’t work ever. Never has never will.

    You say it doesn't work

But go look at Activision and EA's new earning reports, they are celebrating like it's Christmas morning with those numbers, at least on the video game level, it works.

I see where you’re going with the gameplay commentary, but whoa there brother. What you call “political propaganda” on the front page is addressing some pretty serious $ hit going on in the world right now.

Maybe just stick to the baseball talk?

Not sure you meant to quote me. I didn't say the political propaganda piece. I did think it was interesting how someone said equity of outcome vs. Equity of opportunity.

Someone mentioned that the "elites" wanted to strip opportunity equity from the game...which, inherently, insinuates that those who cannot play at the top level should go away, not join a game with one of his/her chosen "fake baseball elites" because they haven't sat in their bedrooms at their parents' house practicing for 14 hours a day to get brilliant at the game.

I'm a mediocre player, I don't get to play so much, but I paid the same for this game as any of the bozos mentioned above did. Do I feel there should be levels of league players so that each level should have challenging, but not unfair competition - YES! But getting pissed at those who want to play the game differently than they do when THE SHOW pushes bad matchups is just ridiculous.
