Events for me are to gain stats and relax and try different cards. Unless it’s a gotta have that card now I will set my team with cards I can stat towards prestige. This way even if I lose I’m still gaining at something and it’s incentive to play.
We also know how annoying it can be to get dashboarded and usually the main purpose they do is because they’re saying haha you get the win but at least you dont get the stat.
I never message anyone but when I was dashboarded on a two run homer with Gehrig it gave me my 60th win. I sent him a screenshot of $900k Verlander I was awarded with a simple thanks! I’d say I got the better end of the deal on that one and hopefully sends a reminder that if you dashboard you are just handing over awards.
At least the PS5 is two extra clicks to close out a game so it will cut down on this eventually. I’m sure though some of these weak people will have a setup to just unplug from the wall.

I'd rather have the Gehrig stats at this point
-
Gehrig is alright at the plate but I can’t take finest Belinger out of my main lineup at 1B. Also Gehrig made more errors at first during this event then I cared to see.
-
Yeah, no doubt Bellinger is better. I feel compelled to use Gehrig because I grinded for him and I'm rolling with an all old timey lineup for giggles at this point.

I’ve been playing with different lineups too. Just did a lineup using all collection players from innings past. Now thinking of doing a tortoise and the hare lineup. All pitchers with the slowest agonizing windups with position players with all 99 speed (besides catcher).

You must like pain, or like to watch paint dry.....
-
This late in the game trotting out the same lineup is watching paint dry. I might as well have fun with a lineup for a game or two then try something else.

I have done similar theme lineups to mix it up. Just promise you won’t be the guy constantly bunting and pulling the leadoff nonsense with all your 99 speed guys.

Gehrig is hitting about .480 for me with almost a HR/5 AB’s. I’m only at about 100 plate appearances but the other stats for his prestige are much further along.

Other than a sacrifice with a pitcher I’m confident I’ve more than likely never bunted online. I want the game to be fun for everyone so I try to play straight as I can.

I allow my opponent to have at least a 3 run lead at all times which nullifies dashboarding. I just finished my 68th prestiged card out of the 101 possible. Plus, with the rng, I think that is why I sometimes have 10 run, 17 hit games with my all prestigeable lineups.
