    Anybody else hoping for some of these major issues to be addressed in 20:

    The speed and ability of outfielders to catch all line drives;

    The weak bats that rarely square up baseballs above veteran difficulty;

    The weak bats that also don’t send baseballs out of the ballpark;

    The weak Matt Vasgersian commentary that’s plagued this series for years;

    The glitching of players/bats through players on slides, post-out animations, and strikeouts;

    The stuttering sight picture of the ball that occurs between the pitch being released to the time it crosses the plate;

    In my opinion, the hitting engine needed no tweaks or changes after 18. Everything was fluid, but now the swing timings are off, the ball glitches through the bat constantly (if you pay attention you’ll see it), the ball doesn’t react according to the angle of the bat, swing, swing speed, or break of the pitch, and it just seems hitting overall got one of those dreaded max caps we had in RTTS in 18 that messed it all up.

    Feel free to add any others you feel need addressed because man I’ve been playing this series since it began and I expect that this stuff is fixed first and foremost.

    What a comeback....there was nothing wrong with the engine. Nobody was complaining about it. In 19 everybody has been complaining about it

    Everyone complained about 18. Contact hitters were useless. It was HR or nothing. 19 is better, but still needs some tweaking.

    Yeah, there is no way that outfielders with low fielding ratings should be making plays that the best defensive players in the game make.

    Yeah, it was in someway reminiscent the 2019 season, where so many guys either kept hitting for power or much more than usual, except that contact hitters were still useful.

    I haven’t felt any of that. Contact hitters were always useful to me until 19. In 19, contact hitters hit the ball with what feels like a whiffle ball bat. Their hits are pitiful, they barely make it past the infield if at all. And even contact hitters hit doubles, they still square baseballs up on occasion so where was that in 19, answer, it wasn’t. Contact hitters were removed from 19. But not 18, I had no issue in 18.

    I know a lot of people have talked about it in the past, but foul balls. I’ve had several games where the other player had more than 10 foul balls in just one inning only. It feels like this happens when I play against a lower ranked player.

    Guess SDS expected unrealistic gameplay when they had to reduce budget and lay people off before the game even came out.

    Remove errors? Sorry, but I have to laugh at that one. Let’s just make every hit a homer too. Every pitch with perfect release is a swing and miss.

    Decent list tho.

    What decides an error though? Not you as the player..

    As it is, they are random and game-breaking.

    Not sure why everyone caps on 18 so much, 18 plays great offline in franchise mode, 19 actually has some goofy stuff 18 didn’t have, like random pitches going right over the plate despite perfect placement, nerfed hitting, tons of line drives outs with perfect contact... bloop hit after bloop hit... base running glitches, random home runs that seem staged, I can’t tell you how many times the CPU has done this, even with pitches out of the strike zone... 18 gets a bad rap I think, definitely plays solid in franchise, still playing it actually ...
