I ignore it and wait for the timer to run out. Pretty bad excuse for him to want a friendly quit

    Wow.

I don't want to play a game in which my opponent is at a decided disadvantage based on something like not being able to see. Maybe I'm some kind of sucker. 🐷

    Scenario: Top 2nd, score 1-0

Your opponent sends you a message that some combination of the background, your uniform, and your pitcher's delivery is making it impossible to see the ball.

Opponent then requests a Friendly Quit.

    What do you do?

You tell yourself. OK, wait, he's gonna wait until the 2nd inning after I've already scored a run to tell me?

    So sorry....friendly quit request.......DENIED!

It’s not your fault he can’t see. Trust me people would’ve exploited something like this a long time ago if it meant they’d get an advantage. Just out of curiosity what color scheme is your uni, what stadium was it, and who was pitching that he supposedly couldn’t see wind up

    What do you do?

This never happens when they're the ones leading 1-0, despite those things possibly bothering him. So the clear answer is no, we continue. If you want a friendly quit, you offer it before the game starts or possibly after an inning but always when the game is tied because you might've experienced severe lag or something similar. Any other situation is an automatic no.

You'd be surprised how creative people can get just to avoid a meaningless loss in this crappy game. I've had guys swearing they needed to rush their partner/relative somewhere (work or even the hospital) while hovering in that 800+ region and they wanna avoid dropping points at all costs. And guess what (of course you smell Bs right away), nobody ever quits when you decline the FQ which is all the more an indicator they were just selling cheap lies. And when you confront them with that after the game, you'll get a F you or you'll be told to get a life or that they slept with your mom.

Long story short, I have 0 trust in people when it comes to this community so I never go along with any of these requests.

I would never have such a conversation since I don't have messaging on.

I requested one earlier today right after the 1st pitch because of a bad glare. I was denied, I texted my opponent why I requested, he ended offering a FQ after I tied the game in the 4th and I gladly took it.

The stadium, date and weather was Center City Field, June, 7pm, Clear Skies.

Btw if you find yourself in a bad glare situation just go to your playstation settings, then go to accesibility and check the box for invert colors. No more glare. I did this everytime it was my turn to hit and put the colors back to normal to pitch.

I sent a friendly quit after the 2nd inning this week. It was obvious that both of us were having real problems with pitch speeds/lag. I was the away team and sent the request after I struck out the side in the bottom of the inning. He declined and I ended up winning, but it wasnt remotely enjoyable.

I understand giving people the benefit of the doubt, but everyone will face challenges like this in certain games. Just gotta play through it, it's not your fault hes having trouble picking up your pitcher or whatever. And as above posters have said, with all the bs you see from people doing anything to win games, you really can't trust what someone is saying. I don't want to say anyone, because there are some really good people on here who help out and play the "right way", but there are also some bad apples who will do anything for a win.
