I want pitch framing for catchers. Also I think vs RH and vs LH attributes for pitchers could possibly be implemented.

Framing makes sense for variable strike zone. Much better than it just being random as it is now. That said, I think they’d face serious backlash if variable strike zones were in online modes like RS and BR.
From a realism standpoint, I like having variable strike zone and umpires that have different tendencies. I can certainly understand why people would be fiercely against this tho. I thought it was kind of fun in custom leagues. Even tho some of the ball and strike calls were beyond laughable. Like Eric Gregg type badness.

I'd like to see some kind of a hustle or urgency stat. Seeing diamond fielders crow hop and lob a floater to the cutoff man when the tying run is rounding third is frustrating. Or the random jogging... whether it's going after a flyball or running to first base. Some Pete Rose head first slide animations would be dope. Maybe make it a stat... Or a Charlie Hustle quirk...
Maybe more perfect inputs in different situations can get your players moving more like they actually give a [censored].

Another AWFUL idea I had MONTHS back: What if each RS game had 9 people per team, and each one player their position, so like RTTS style. I had thought that the MLB could do this for fun if there was no season. Have the manager take someone out. lol
So, Rizzo would play the first baseman, Bryant 3rd, etc.

I think a "utility" quick would be cool. I would give guys that play every position like Kike Hernandez, Brad Miller, and probably a lot more I'm forgetting, the ability to not take the 5 point penalty when being played in a secondary position.
