I'm struggling with him, and I really don't understand why. I like to think pitching is the strongest part of my game, mostly because I absolutely blow at hitting.

Orel, Seaver, Gibson those are some strong candidates. Also get pitchers with outlier that can throw 102 b/c some people have a HUGE tv and the input lag makes them "very late" on all their fastball swings. I would say every 2 out of 5 players I come across cant hit a 102 FB

And that’s why Nolan is in my rotation despite his poor control. Throwing fastball and sinker down the middle of the plate and noobs still cannot hit Nolan.
Best 20k I have spent on a starting pitcher.
