Collections do not tell you they are non-exchangeable after locking in

They said in the stream cards locked in collections would be unable to quick sell or exchange.
I didn't QS last year, but I did eventually use them for TA, but I don't see this as a big deal we eventually will get so many cards from playing that this won't matter. -

Same here. Would be nice if it let you know it’s different than last year. At least make them exchangeable. To whoever reads this don’t do collections. Just stack your stubs.
You can stack your stubs all day, and you're still not going to get Mantle.
Just suck it up, and accept you can't quick sell or exchange collected cards, or forget about having Mantle.
Frankly, I love that you can't do either, as there were far too many running around with Mays. An all collect should be difficult to get. -

There will be plenty outfielders that are just as good if not better in a few months. Also, what are you supposed to do with all these cards once collected? And why do I have 3 silvers that aren’t sellable? Makes zero sense. They should def be able to be exchanged at least.

An all collect should be difficult to get.Even if you couldn’t quicksell last year there was literally 0 excuse to not have Mays last year. They gave away stubs and diamond cards like candy, and I can see it being the same for this year. I probably Spent 3-4 million stubs on packs in 19 and had Mays, Honus, Yelich, and every single headliner and inning boss without investing and minimal flipping. I get Packs are fun to open but to be honest anyone who says they don’t have the stubs for a player or collection likely blows 20-30k stubs a week on packs

Not everybody has the amount of time you have to play a video game.

On top of this, it gives you 4 non sellable cards AFTER collecting the entire 40 man roster and locking them in. Im really hoping this is a glitch because it just makes no sense at all. Does it have something to do with making them unsellable or something? How do you mess something like that up? Please respond when you can SDS because im holding off on collections until this is rectified
Yes terrible poorly planned

I will agree that there's a big difference between voluntarily locking in a card yourself, and having cards already unsellable when you get them. There's absolutely no reason that four pack you get in affinity shouldn't be able to be sold. There's a good chance when you get them, those four cards have already been locked by the receiver in collections, making it an absolutely worthless reward.

I haven’t looked at 99 mantles stats because it’ll make spend all my money when I don’t need to, but I’m gonna have to say I don’t think there will be many like him in the game. I don’t think it will get better than him. Last year it didn’t get better than mays. Everyone kept him in their line up.

They had outfield options very similar though. Mays was a monster for me, but didn’t even seem like my best player. The way they are expecting us to get mantle is ridiculous. Borderline pay to win.

Oh it’s not borderline. It is. That said, the market is low right now at least

I couldn't agree more. I get over the no sell/exchange for a card after you lock it in, but to be "rewarded" with an unsellable version of a locked-in card is absurd.
-
Until/If an exchange is set up, you should just refrain from locking in a collection until you have finished the TA. Sell any sellable duplicates, THEN lock it in.

That is all well and good...but what about.people who locked in players BEFORE they knew about it....because the game doesn't tell you about it.
-
Not to mention... I just locked in the 7 pre-order cards for the 75 Program stars... and at level 65 (and multiple other levels in the XP reward path) you are rewarded with those cards again...
So you are telling me, I lock those cards in, just so every 40 levels I get those cards to just sit in my inventory and not do anything???
I don't care about getting Mantle or having too many stubs... Not being able to sell duplicates IS A BROKEN CONCEPT and should not be allowed in the game. Period. It makes collecting cards not even worth it and you legit might as well just never collect anything cause how else are you gonna do affinities? How else are you gonna exchange these Eyewear and Shin Guards for the daily mission? I locked in the gold Eyewear and my mission is to exchange one.... I HAVE TO PAY 12K STUBS FOR 2 PROGRAM STARS?!?!?!?! LOLOL WHAT A JOKE!
This fundamentally breaks the buying, selling, and exchanging of cards... This is my only gripe of the game. I love the gameplay so far, the content is amazing, but dang... This breaks the game SDS.... please

That's how you do most of the Team affinities. You grind Showdown for that team division. Every time you win the showdown, you get 5 vouchers of 4 stars. Which is 20 TA stars, that you can put towards any team within that division.
So now, let's say i collected a lot of these cards that i need for team affinities, I have no other option but to go grind Showdown or complete the Innings missions
