RTTS fielding on PS5 doesn’t work

I continued my RTTS career on the PS5 today for the first times since getting the console and found out that fielding doesn’t work. I created a second baseman, and he just stands there and doesn’t move at all. Batting and base running are fine bit fielding is completely non responsive. Anyone else have this issue?

Update.
Closed and restarted the game and fielding seems to work ok now. Odd that that happened. Maybe it’s just one of the many “quirks” of the PS5 in its first week.

I’ve encountered that a few times on PS4 Pro, I don’t think it lasted more than one play though each time. Was it continually happening before the restart?

Mine's been all year. The second baseman I created often doesn't cover second on a steal, even when I'm pushing the stick that way. He just won't move.
