every game I’ve been playing lately has been exactly as you’ve described. Slugfests with football scores against guys who swing at everything. I put them In the dirt, the ai hangs it for me. I put it away, the pitch doesn’t break. No one walks, it’s just time up, mash the buttons, home run derby. Pitching definitely needs an improvement in 21.

I played a game today, 17 home runs total, it was at laughing mountain and back and forth for awhile, Even with that, it wasn't fun, I don't find that type of gameplay fun. It was the last straw, I'm not going to be away for awhile, I cannot play at Shippett or Laughing Mountain and stay sane.

My lifetime ranked ERA is under 4, Idk what's going on, but it really sucks the fun out of the game

Exactly my thoughts. I usually have an era In the low 3s and can make cs almost every season. This season I am 9-12 with and era over 5. Seems everyone can hit everything, and if you try to spike one in the dirt, the ai will just hang it for them. I’m someone who prides myself on my pitching so I definitely do not find these swingfests enjoyable.
It’s funny, a couple of months ago, I was complaining about the opposite. Seemed every game I was playing was a 2-1, low hit game. I guess be careful what you ask for because it seems hitting was turned way up. I don’t know what happened, I doubt there was any major change this late In the game cycle, but I’m scratching my head wondering what happened to pitching

I’ve been on this soapbox all year, hopefully now SDS can see that people don’t like the direction they’ve taken with gameplay and want an actual baseball game, not just a bad hitting simulation that arbitrarily awards home runs on bad swings just to keep the game exciting for players who don’t really understand actual baseball or bat and ball physics.
If I had to sum up MLB ‘20 in a single word, that word would be “stupid”. The content has been stupid, with too many stupid made up cards with 125 everything, the gameplay is stupid, with endless home runs and unforced errors just to generate action and most of all, I’m stupid, for continuing to play and support the franchise when they only make a decent game once every 3-4 years.

I guess that that is how I can show if I am smiling. I feel that it is hard to show if you are joking or not when you are not actually talking to someone. I probably put the
too much, just because I don't want someone to think that I am mad. Thank you for letting me know, I will try and tone it down. lol -
They just need to balance it better. Right now it is not as rewarding as a hitter. Early in the year it was too rewarding. I took a break inbetween. But whatever it is some people will always complain.

Yep, but its all-star and that guy was a goon, im not a goon, but he was spamming the fastball, so bad pitch calling from him. im not ready to call Degrom bad yet.
