Commons going for 1k

I'm down to Degrom and some random common on the Nationals in order to get Mantle. The common is going for 1k and they are already 160+ buy orders for the card. Since you can't bid over 1k on commons, is there any other way to get the card besides getting lucky in packs?

Put in buy orders. That is what we have all had to do.
EDIT: I got some of the rare ones by opening a bunch of headliners, but I already had them from buy orders.

You just have to get in line if you want it now. The card is newly introduced to the game, and so he's high. However, he's a common so he will be pulled at the same rate as other commons. Give it five weeks or so and he'll be quick sell.

Last month, I was about 100 in line for a rare common like that. It took about 36 hours for the order to process. It went pretty quick.
