Bunt Cheesin’ to the WS!
-
Another update:
Game 3, currently tied in the 10th.
Earlier: Bunted aboard twice, both times thrown out by FOXX trying to take second. This was Mondesi and Buxton... stats don’t matter.

It's very easy to counter bunt cheesers though. Play the 2B in and the 3B to cover a drag and you're all set. Nobody will bunt his way on base. You're welcome.
Do you set the cover drag first, then set the second baseman in?
I never did a shift adjustment with 2 fielders. I thought it would reset the shift when I adjust second fielder. If u know what I meanIt doesn't matter who you shift first, but you have to shift them both manually or they reset. If you're not very familiar with all the manual defensive alignment options, I would suggest you start a vs CPU game and just mess around in the options to see all the possibilities. There is no pause clock so you have all the time in the world to get accustomed to it.
Awesome!! Thanks alot

It's better to share knowledge and battle a common annoyance than lower ourselves to the same levels.

Well, I hate to say that I’ve proven my point in my testing. You can totally screw over a starter early if you manage to bunt cheese them. Not to mention put your opponent on tilt.
I won’t say I’ll be running the bunt squad anymore, because honestly it felt dirty, but I may drop one down on starters I can’t hit from here out...

Well I'm not gonna stop you from running a team like that, because like I said its very easy to stop. And that's why I also disagree with your statement that you can screw a pitchers confidence early, because that only works when you bunt to get on base. And that's not happening when you do what I suggested.

I get the frustration, but the response is awful. You'd think losing that way would DETER you from doing it yourself.
Nah. Getting my speed guys now. Have 1M stubs so it’ll be a sweet team.
And I shift to bunt defense the first time through usually on every speedster. But to do it the entire game makes you vulnerable to bloopers.
This happens EVERY other game. How often do we see drag bunts in MLB?
I’m going to play the game the way it’s functioning, like a pile of hot garbage.
Fair warning.
If you put on the pre set up bunt defensive alignment you'll fail miserably and remain vulnerable to the bunt. The key is to play the 2B in, as I mentioned before, the bunt defensive alignment doesn't do that for you. You have to do that manually and for your 2B only. The 1B will stay straight up around his bag so you won't get blooped on any more than normal. The 2B can still get back in time in case of a bloop as well.
But by all means go ahead and get shut down by people who do know how to use what I just told you.
Don't even bother...he's a rat baby

We need an update on this cheesing..... -
Hahaha, yea we do. Please
-
Bunt cheese. It just works.
-
I’ve never personally done the whole bunt cheese thing... but if I have a runner at third with decent speed & I have Kenny Lofton up to bat, I’m bunting him in. I don’t see anything wrong with that. If you bunt with Frank Thomas, that would irritating.
