Yesterday they said that he won't do well with the young team, which I 100% agree with. Kind of surprising to be honest. (That they chose him with such a young team)

I am just happy it’s not Hinch. I think he’ll be ok. Probably wasn’t the best choice, tbh, but I was hearing rumors of Hinch and him wanting to bring over Springer. No thanks.
EDIT: it does seem like maybe a questionable choice, but I’ve learned to trust Hahn’s vision. I don’t think he would assemble this awesome group of young talent and then bring in a manager who doesn’t want to work with young guys. I have to believe Hahn and the rest of the FO did their due diligence and that they believe la Russa is the right guy for the job.

Word is that it was a Reinsdorf move and he had final say over the front office.

I dont like it man. Seems to be a backwards move. Hes a legend and a Hall of Famer so I will give him his due chance but I dont see it working out. Just hope we further develop these young kids. We have sucked for awhile its nice to be relevant again lol
